Custom Courses

For Your Company

Post engagement, clients frequently request we conduct private training courses for their staff. Other times, they invite us back to do a training session when they discover a gap in their staff’s skills. Either way, we’re happy to oblige.

Classes can be based on existing material such as pre-cons, or we can design a custom training program specifically based on your needs. A sampling of classes we have taught include:

Analytics Without Limits: Modern BI Architecture

The traditional enterprise data warehouse has been around a long time, and it isn’t going away anytime soon. However, the influence of data analysis, cloud computing, and in-memory analytics have changed the scale and approach to business analytics. Microsoft is heavily invested in Data Analytics through its partnership with Hadoop vendor HortonWorks, HDInsight (its Hadoop as a Service offering in Azure) and the Power BI stack which integrates tightly to provide rich visualization and analysis from an array of data sources.

Finding Your Balance: BI in the Cloud, On Premises, or Both

Heard about Power BI or Microsoft Azure? These services can take many forms, such as cloud VMs, database as a service, Power BI in the cloud, and a myriad of other services. In this full day session, you will learn about building Business Intelligence solutions using Microsoft Azure, Power BI and the Microsoft BI stack (on premises, in the cloud, or both). This session gives you the foundation you need to understand when incorporating cloud components into your BI solution makes sense and how to get started.
