I’m sad to report that there will not be a Speaker Idol competition at the PASS Data Community Summit this year. The reason for this is actually good news. Due to the fact that the PASS Data Community Summit has so many first-time speakers, there weren’t enough people attending the PASS Data Community Summit who had spoken at other events (but not at the PASS Summit) that we couldn’t fill the contest with contestants.
But for those looking to enter the contest next year, we are planning on having the contest again. Maybe next year, maybe the year after. We’re not sure as to the exact timing when it will be, but keep an eye out on the DCAC blog as well as the PASS website for future plans.
