Top Tier #IT #Consultants Aren’t Just for Enterprises

When I was speaking at the Fabric Conference a few weeks ago, someone said something that just didn’t sit right with me. They told me that “our project probably isn’t big enough for your team.” And that’s just not true. Large Enterprises aren’t the only size of company that consultants want to work with. We all love working with the smaller companies as well. There’s (typically) less office politics, so we can just get down to fixing the technical problems with a lot fewer meetings and showdowns that happen in larger organizations.

Smaller companies probably need consultants more than larger companies. The larger the company, the more it can spend on staff who can handle a lot of internal performance tuning. Meanwhile, smaller companies are more constrained by the budget and staff they can have in-house, as they can’t afford a large database team with people who specialize in work like database performance tuning. This is where consultants come in. From a performance tuning perspective, they can assist you with resolving performance issues by helping you tune systems, then leave the day-to-day management of those systems to the team that knows them best, the in-house database management team.

If you’ve got a SQL Server performance problem (or any IT problem, really), reach out to your local consultant and see if they can help you with the situation. Odds are that they can, and they’ll be happy to help as well. If you have a SQL Server performance issue or a cloud migration project, contact us. We’d love to help, whether you are a large or small company; drop us a message today.
